PhD students who would like to participate are required to submit an application packet to Tomohiro Ara (tomohiro@student.unsw.edu.au) with the subject line titled EDN Winter School Application by May 10, 2009. The application packet should include

• Completed application form
• CV
• A letter from your supervisor endorsing your attendance

ECRs who want to avail of the Travel scholarship are required to submit the following to Tomohiro Ara (tomohiro@student.unsw.edu.au) with the subject line titled EDN Winter School Application by May 10, 2009.

• Completed application form
• CV

Application outcomes will be notified via e-mail by May 20, 2009.

Note: Scholarship holders are required to be present for the entire duration of the workshop.

• Both PhD and ECR Travel Scholarships will provide up to AU$ 500 to assist with travel expenses associated with the conference. These will be limited to selected participants travelling from outside of Sydney. Local participants will not be given any travel or accommodation allowance.
• A limited number of supplementary awards for overseas participants will provide up to AU$ 2000 for international airfare.
• Shared accommodation has been booked for those PhD students who will be awarded the Travel Scholarships.
• ECRs will be provided with up to AU$100 per night for 7 nights to assist with local accommodation expenses.
• Reimbursements for airfare and accommodation other than the provided shared accommodation will require original receipts.
